Here's how to do it:
- Get your siblings involved - If you have siblings, this would be something great that you could do together. If you don't have siblings or they do not live in the area, perhaps you have some friends who want to honor their mothers as well and you all could get together and have a party for your mothers.
- Secure a location - Should you have the party at your home, a restaurant or outdoors in a picnic area.
- Choose a theme - This makes decorating easier on you. For example, if you're having the party with friends and their Mothers, a Mother's Day tea would be a great idea. Or you may wish to do something more fun, like a luau theme.
- Order the right food - If you're having a themed party, you will probably want your food to match that theme. If you are going with the tea party theme, then finger sandwiches, scones, etc. would be great. If you are having a brunch, then you'd want more breakfast type foods. You may also wish to have a cake or even cupcakes which can be decorated very elegantly.
- Get a gift - Get a corsage for your mom
and pin it on her when she arrives. If you are doing a party with
friends, then you may want to give each Mother a favor to remember the
party by. If not, you may just want to give your mom something
meaningful.
